A mixed-use complex with a seniors care facility and rental housing building for the Victoria-Fraserview neighbourhood is currently being considered by the City of Vancouver. Part of the existing care home buildings will close to prepare for demolition and construction. There are comprehensive transition plans for each resident to allow for a smooth transition to other care homes. The Society will continue to provide care to about 50 seniors in the building located on the North West corner of the property during the construction. This project falls under the city’s Victoria-Fraserview/Killarney Community Vision. Total of 134 beds, including 132 funded long-term beds and 2 privately funded beds.
